Enough of my rant, though: I ran a number of applications, from LibreOffice to K3s, and anything that had an ARM64 build worked flawlesslyand incredibly fast, especially since my only other ARM experience comes from running apps on a Pi 400, Pi 4, or CM4, which are far slower than Apple's M1. If I understand you correctly, you are using a Mac with an Apple M1 processor. No need to be a programmer although there is never a better time to start learning. For a small sum (9 or so) you can get a version from Collabora from the app-store which natively supports M1, but all M1-ness should be fine.
